Brian Lee is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and a business visionary of the highest order. As the CEO of BAM Ventures and known for creating start-ups with celebrities and notable persons, his ventures reach into the billions of dollars.
He is the co-founder and former president of LegalZoom.com, founder and former CEO of ShoeDazzle.com, and co-founder and former CEO of The Honest Company, as well as his involvement with dozens of widely known and successful start-ups.
Other start-ups include AOS Sport with the late Kobe Bryant, and the Arena Club with Derek Jeter, a digital showroom for trading cards.
Brian is also known as one of the “founding fathers” of the L.A. tech scene and is frequently pitched ideas from tech entrepreneurs. That is how he became the first investor in the deal-finding browser add-on Honey, bought by PayPal for $4 billion.
Formerly an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, Brian co-founded LegalZoom in 2001. LegalZoom has since become the nationwide leader in online legal services.
Among his many accolades, in 2009, Brian was named one of the “25 most notable Korean-American entrepreneurs” by Forbes magazine. In 2014, he was commended as the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year by EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
Brian graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics/Business from UCLA and received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
